Install WhatsApp Plus.
Open the application and check the number.

Or you can disable them if you don't like.
Parallax Effect:
You can adjust the speed and amount that the scene moves when you scroll between home screens.
Other Settings:
Animations can be reduced to save battery when battery is low and not charging.
There are various other settings for stars, leaves, bird, deer, etc.
